Basic Currency
Common drops from monsters and vendors
Gold
Used to buy items from vendors and respec the Passive Skill Tree. Gold is the primary trading currency with NPCs and is used for gambling and crafting services.
Scroll of Wisdom
Identifies an item, revealing its magical properties and modifiers. Scrolls of Wisdom drop commonly from monsters and can be purchased from vendors for Gold.
Quality Currency
Each point of quality increases the item's main attribute by 1%
Armourer's Scrap
Increases the quality of an Armour by 1% per scrap (up to 20% maximum). Obtained by salvaging items with quality or disenchanting equipment.
Blacksmith's Whetstone
Increases the quality of a Martial Weapon (Swords, Axes, Maces, etc.) by 1% per whetstone (up to 20% maximum). Obtained by salvaging items with quality.
Arcanist's Etcher
Increases the quality of a Wand, Staff, or Sceptre by 1% per etcher (up to 20% maximum). Essential for caster builds.
Gemcutter's Prism
Increases the quality of a Skill Gem by 1% per prism (up to 20% maximum). Higher quality gems have improved effects and damage scaling.
Glassblower's Bauble
Increases the quality of a Flask by 1% per bauble (up to 20% maximum). Higher quality flasks have increased recovery and duration.
Crafting Orbs
Core currency for modifying items and creating powerful equipment
Orb of Transmutation
Upgrades a Normal (white) item to a Magic (blue) item with 1 random modifier. Drops from monsters or obtained by disenchanting magic equipment.
Orb of Augmentation
Adds a new random modifier to a Magic (blue) item. Magic items can have up to 2 modifiers total.
Orb of Alchemy
Upgrades a Normal (white) item to a Rare (yellow) item with 4 random modifiers. Essential for endgame crafting.
Chaos Orb
Removes a random modifier from a Rare item and adds a new random modifier. The primary currency for trading between players.
Exalted Orb
Adds a new random modifier to a Rare item. Rare items can have up to 6 modifiers total. One of the most valuable crafting orbs.
Divine Orb
Randomizes the numeric values of all modifiers on an item within their ranges. Used to perfect the rolls on gear.
Regal Orb
Upgrades a Magic (blue) item to a Rare (yellow) item, keeping existing modifiers and adding one new random modifier.
Orb of Annulment
Removes a random modifier from an item. Used in advanced crafting to selectively remove unwanted mods.
Orb of Chance
Randomly upgrades a Normal (white) item to a Unique (orange) item of the same base type, or destroys it. A high-risk, high-reward crafting tool.
Vaal Orb
Corrupts an item with unpredictable results. Can add powerful modifiers, reroll values, add sockets, or destroy the item. Corrupted items cannot be modified further. Drops from Vaal areas and Trial of Chaos.
Fracturing Orb
Fractures a random modifier on a Rare item that has at least 4 modifiers, locking it permanently. Fractured modifiers cannot be changed by any crafting method.
Mirror of Kalandra
Creates a mirrored copy of any non-Unique item. Mirrored copies are exact duplicates but cannot be modified. The rarest and most valuable currency in the game.

Add sockets to gear and skill gems for support gems
Artificer's Orb
Adds a Rune Socket to equipment (Martial Weapons, Wands, Staffs, Armour). Maximum 2 sockets on two-handed weapons and body armour, 1 on everything else. Obtained by salvaging socketed equipment.
Lesser Jeweller's Orb
Adds a Support Gem Socket to a Skill Gem that currently has 2 Support Sockets (increasing it to 3 total sockets). Drops from monsters and league mechanics.
Greater Jeweller's Orb
Adds a Support Gem Socket to a Skill Gem that currently has 3 Support Sockets (increasing it to 4 total sockets).
Perfect Jeweller's Orb
Adds a Support Gem Socket to a Skill Gem that currently has 4 Support Sockets (increasing it to 5 total sockets - maximum). The rarest gem socket currency.
Currency Shards
Combine 10 shards to create a full orb. Earned from salvaging items and disenchanting equipment
Transmutation Shard
A stack of 10 shards becomes an Orb of Transmutation. Obtained by disenchanting Magic items.
Regal Shard
A stack of 10 shards becomes a Regal Orb. Obtained by disenchanting Rare items.
Chance Shard
A stack of 10 shards becomes an Orb of Chance. Obtained by disenchanting Unique items.
Artificer's Shard
A stack of 10 shards becomes an Artificer's Orb. Obtained by salvaging equipment with Rune Sockets.
Chaos Shard
A stack of 10 shards becomes a Chaos Orb. Obtained from endgame content, league mechanics, and disenchanting high-tier items.
Exalted Shard
A stack of 10 shards becomes an Exalted Orb. A rare drop from high-tier endgame content and league mechanics.
